Chair
Jacqueline Smooke is a native Houstonian who has a passion for helping others and contributing to the Houston community.
After her career as the Catering Director at Vargo’s Restaurant, she began to focus on charitable endeavors. In 2017, she chaired the Elijah Rising Gala, their first large fundraiser, for over 600 guests. The event raised money for a permanent lodge to house displaced women in need.

Beneficiaries

A cornerstone of the Houston community since 1978, The Montrose Center provides affirming mental and behavioral health services to LGBTQ individuals and their families. With a team of licensed clinicians, therapists, educators, and volunteers, the Center empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives—while addressing the unique health disparities faced by the LGBTQ community. Suicide prevention is deeply embedded in their work, from clinical care to crisis intervention and community programs for youth and seniors.

JTL is one of the leading providers of behavioral healthcare services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in Texas. Our diverse group of assessors, therapists, case managers, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and ARNPs has helped people of all ages and backgrounds realize their full potential through outstanding mental health programs.
In addition to the services we provide at our offices, we also bring health and support services directly to homes and schools. We look forward to continuing to meet the needs of our neighbors and communities through innovative and compassionate approaches to behavioral healthcare.
